Evelyn Adams: Leading with Heart at Texacone
With over 30 years in manufacturing and 7.5 years in the elevator industry, Evelyn Adams brings hands-on leadership and deep operational knowledge to her role as General Manager at Texacone. She has been part of the Hyperion journey from the very beginning and continues to lead with a strong focus on people and process.
Evelyn’s path into the industry started through a transition from sheet metal fabrication into Texacone. Since then, she has focused on learning every aspect of the operation and supporting her team on-site. That commitment shows in her daily routine, including a long commute to stay closely connected to her team and the work being done.
For Evelyn, Hyperion represents something familiar. Even as the organization has grown, the culture has stayed consistent. Teams support each other, share knowledge, and take pride in the work they do. That sense of connection is something she values deeply.
The elevator industry stands out to her because of its strong foundation in relationships. Many people in the field have family ties that go back generations. That level of loyalty and long-term commitment creates a work environment where people care about what they build and who they build it with.
Evelyn takes pride in understanding Texacone’s processes and finding ways to improve them. Coming from a different manufacturing background, she embraced the challenge of learning something new and continues to build on that knowledge every day.
She believes success in this industry comes down to how you treat people and how willing you are to learn.

Her advice to those entering the industry is simple and direct. Meet people. Treat them with respect. Ask questions. The more you learn from others, the more you will grow.
