Meet Steven Correa: 12 Years of Passion and Precision in the Elevator Industry
With over 12 years in the elevator industry, Steven Correa has built his career on a foundation of technical skill, curiosity, and customer care.
Steven’s journey began in trade school, where he earned his degree in electrical engineering and found his way into the world of elevators wiring hydraulic and traction controller systems. “I’ve been passionate about the industry ever since,” he says.
Now part of Hyperion’s corporate sales team, Steven originally joined Torin five years ago before becoming a key part of Hyperion Solutions. He describes Hyperion as “a place where the depth of knowledge and experience is almost unlimited.” That expertise, he says, allows him to deliver tremendous value to the customers and companies he supports every day.
Steven takes pride in seeing projects come together successfully. He’s drawn to the mix of electrical and mechanical work, precision, and teamwork that defines the elevator industry. “It’s highly competitive, yet built on mutual respect and a shared goal of keeping people safe,” he explains. “That balance makes it both challenging and rewarding.”
When asked about his proudest achievements, Steven doesn’t point to a single project, but to the relationships he’s built.
“Through countless small actions, conversations, and moments, I’ve built lasting partnerships. It’s been an honor to contribute to the success of so many great people and companies.”
He credits mentors Gilbert Zogbi, Alex Bouchez, and Ali Ezzedine for helping shape his early career. “Their focus and professionalism had a huge impact on how I approach my work today.”
Steven’s mindset is simple but powerful: he views himself as an extension of the companies he partners with. “Their success is my success, and I’m committed to supporting each project as if it were my own.”
For those new to the elevator world, Steven offers this advice: “Be patient and stay curious. We’re in the support and solutions business, so take every opportunity to learn—and when a clear path doesn’t exist, be the one who helps create it.”
