ECNY 2026: Technical Alliances and Field-Ready Solutions in NYC

Machinery, compliance discussions, and industry connections in the Bronx.

The NYC elevator market is defined by aging equipment and high-pressure modernization schedules. Last week, our team headed to the ECNY Supplier Showcase to meet those challenges with practical hardware and technical support. Across four booths, we moved past marketing fluff to focus on the specs and reliability required in the machine room.

The Showcase

Our presence this year highlighted the full depth of the Hyperion family. At the Torin Drive booth, the focus was on the future of traction. We provided a first look at our newest development, the Torin Belted Machine (TBM) designed to solve modern footprint constraint, alongside the 1600A Improved Brake. The feedback from field mechanics and consultants on the new belted machine confirmed that the industry is looking for smarter, more compact solutions.

Over at Tech Services (Titan & McIntosh Industries), we leaned into mechanical precision. The display featured our award winning Titan Dual Plunger Brake (Elevator World Product of the Year 2025) focused on NYC code compliance. With the industry facing tighter inspections, these conversations centered on clear retrofit paths and proven safety.

ZZIPCO, Texacone, and EECO rounded out the hydraulic side of the house. The bright orange EECO Mini Power Unit served as a focal point for hydraulic performance, while the ZZIPCO Oil Cooler and an array of specialty components, from governors and spirators to screw pumps demonstrated our commitment to system longevity.

Community and Culture

The week wasn't just about the equipment on the floor. On Monday night, we joined the industry for the Rooftop Party, where Hyperion proudly sponsored the cigar station. It was a valuable opportunity to step away from the blueprints and connect with our partners in a more human setting.

Next Stop: Orlando

We are taking the momentum from NYC straight to the IAEC Forum in Orlando (May 5–6). If you missed us at ECNY, we look forward to seeing you in Florida.
